LAUREN KESLER

2021 started in another lockdown. As feared, the trials of 2020 had seeped into the new year and there was a sense this really was the new normal. Uninspired by any of my traditional work, I decided to turn to analogue photography and low down my process in this slowed down world. I aimed to take one photo a day. What that photo would be on any given day would be a surprise. I felt strongly about not planning ahead and instead, keeping alert and waiting for the perfect moment to arrive. The result of the first roll is a series of still life images and a few from walks. The shots are mundane, but documentation of a time. A bit of sun, muddy ground. 2021 in a new world.
